Chocolate Macadamia Bars

List of Ingredients
- 1 (6-ounce) pkg. semisweet chocolate pieces
- 2 squares (2 ounces) unsweetened chocolate
- 2 Tbsp butter or margarine
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- Dash salt
- 1 cup chopped macadamia nuts or pecans
- 2 ounces white baking bar with cocoa butter, chopped
- Powdered sugar
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, heat chocolate pieces, unsweetened chocolate and butter or margarine over low heat until melted, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; cool 10 minutes.
- Stir in sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; beat by hand until combined. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Fold in nuts and white baking bar. Spread batter in a greased 9x9x2-inch baking pan.
- Bake in a 350-degree (F) oven for 30 minutes. Cool completely on a wire rack. Sift powdered sugar over top. Cut into bars.
Makes 24 bars.
