List of Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
- 3 (1-ounce) squares semisweet chocolate, melted
- 3 large eggs
- 2 cups white sugar
- 3 teaspoons pure vanilla extract, divided
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- 3 cups miniature marshmallows
- ½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted
- 3¼ cups powdered sugar
- 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
- 6 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees and lightly grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
- Place the 1 cup softened butter, melted chocolate, eggs, white sugar, 2 teaspoons of the vanilla, and flour in a large bowl and stir until smooth. Fold in the pecans. Evenly spread into the prepared baking dish and bake 30 to 35 minutes or until the edges pull away from the pan. Place on a wire cooling rack and immediately top with the marshmallows, pressing into the brownies. Cool completely.
- In the bowl of an electric mixer, combine the ½ cup melted butter, powdered sugar, cocoa, milk, and the remaining 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat 10 to 12 minutes or until smooth. Spread over the top of the cooled brownies. Cut and serve.
