    Buttery Cajun Shrimp

    Source of Recipe

From "Paula Deen's Southern Cooking Bible"

    List of Ingredients

    • 1-1/2 sticks butter, melted
    • 3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 3 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
    • 2 Tbsp Cajun seasoning
    • 1-1/2 tsp Paula Deen's House Seasoning (recipe follows)
    • 3/4 tsp hot sauce
    • 3 scallions, finely chopped
    • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
    • 2 pounds medium shrimp, with shells
    • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
    • French bread, for dipping

    Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

    2. In a medium bowl, combine the butter, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, Cajun seasoning, House Seasoning, hot sauce, scallions, and garlic. Pour half the shrimp and half the lemon slices in the dish; then make a second layer with the remaining shrimp and lemon slices. Pour the remaining sauce into the dish.

    3. Bake, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp are pink, about 20 minutes. Ladle the sauce into pretty individual serving dishes. Serve the shrimp with plenty of French bread for dipping in the tangy, buttery sauce.
