    Louisiana Oyster Stew

    List of Ingredients

    â—¦  ½ cup butter
    â—¦  ½ cup thinly sliced green onions
    â—¦  ¼ cup diced sweet onion
    â—¦  ¼ cup diced celery
    â—¦  1 tablespoon Creole seasoning
    â—¦  ¼ cup all-purpose flour
    â—¦  2 cups half-and-half
    â—¦  1 pint oysters with their liquor
    â—¦  Kosher salt
    â—¦  Hot sauce
    â—¦  Parsley, for garnish

    Recipe

    In a small Dutch oven, melt butter over medium heat.

    Add green onions, sweet onion, celery, and Creole seasoning; cook until softened, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes. Sprinkle with flour and cook, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes.

    Stir in half-and-half and bring to a simmer. Cook, stirring often, until thickened, about 10 minutes.

    Stir in oysters and liquor. Cook until oysters are cooked through, 3 to 5 minutes. Add salt and hot sauce to taste.
    Garnish with parsley.

    Makes 4 servings
