    Classic Cream Pound Cake

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup butter, softened
    • 3 cups sugar
    • 6 eggs
    • 1 Tbsp vanilla
    • 3 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1/8 tsp salt
    • 1 cup heavy whipping cream


    Instructions


    1. Do not preheat oven.
      Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan. In large bowl, combine butter and sugar; beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla; blend well.

    2. In medium bowl, combine flour and salt. Add flour mixture to butter mixture alternately with cream, beginning and ending with flour. Pour batter into prepared pan.

    3. Place in cold oven. Turn temperature to 325° F. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool 1 hour or until completely cooled.

      Makes 16 servings.
