Frosting: Best Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

List of Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2-1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
- Dash salt
- 1/4 cup whipping cream
- 1 (1-ounce) square unsweetened baking chocolate, melted (e.g., Nestle Toll House Baking Bars)
- 1 Tbsp light corn syrup
Instructions
- Beat butter in medium mixer bowl at medium speed until creamy (1 to 2 minutes).
- Gradually add powdered sugar, cocoa and salt alternately with whipping cream and melted chocolate, scraping bowl often, until well mixed (2 to 3 minutes). Stir in corn syrup.
Yield: 2 cups
Makes enough to frost one (13x9-inch) cake or 12 cupcakes.
