Frosting: Satiny Chocolate Frosting

- 1 cup (6 oz.) semisweet chocolate morsels
- 1/2 cup half-and-half
- 1 cup butter
- 2-1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar
Instructions
- Combine chocolate morsels, half-and-half, and butter in a large saucepan; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate melts and mixture is smooth.
- Remove from heat; stir in powdered sugar. Let stand for 20 minutes.
- Place pan in bowl of ice water; beat at medium speed with an electric mixer until frosting reaches spreading consistency.
Yield: 3-1/2 cups
