Frosting: Satiny Chocolate Frosting

• 1 cup (6 oz.) semisweet chocolate morsels
  
• 1/2 cup half-and-half
  
• 1 cup butter
  
• 2-1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar
  






Instructions



1. Combine chocolate morsels, half-and-half, and butter in a large saucepan; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate melts and mixture is smooth.
   
   
2. Remove from heat; stir in powdered sugar. Let stand for 20 minutes.
   
   
3. Place pan in bowl of ice water; beat at medium speed with an electric mixer until frosting reaches spreading consistency.
   
   Yield: 3-1/2 cups
