Cheesy Tuna Noodle Casserole

- 1/3 cup chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 1-2/3 cups undiluted evaporated milk
- 3/4 cup water
- 1-1/3 cups shredded American cheese
- 1-1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 3/4 tsp seasoned salt
- 1 (10-ounce) can drained, flaked tuna (or two 6-ounce cans)
- 1 cup cooked, drained peas (or just put frozen into casserole, since they will be baked)
- 3 cups cooked, drained medium noodles
Instructions
- Sauté onion in butter in medium saucepan. Stir in flour. Gradually add evaporated milk and water. Cook over medium heat until mixture boils, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add 1 cup cheese, Worcestershire sauce and seasoned salt. Stir until cheese is melted.
- Combine cheese sauce, tuna, peas and noodles in a bowl. Spoon into a buttered 1-1/2-quart casserole. Top with remaining 1/3 cup cheese.
- Bake at 350° F for 25 minutes.
