Butter Pecan Cookies

• 1 cup butter, softened
  
• 1 cup brown sugar
  
• 1/4 cup milk
  
• 1/2 tsp vanilla
  
• 2 cups sifted flour
  
• 2 tsp baking powder
  
• Pecan halves
  






Instructions



1. Cream butter and brown sugar together. Add milk and vanilla and mix well.
   
   
2. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to butter mixture. Chill mixture for one hour.
   
   
3. Shape cookie dough into balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Press a pecan half into the center of each cookie.
   
   
4. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
   
   Makes 4 to 5 dozen.
