    Clipper Chocolate Chip Cookies

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
    • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
    • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
    • 1 Tbsp Frangelico (hazelnut liqueur) or water
    • 1 Tbsp coffee liqueur or 1 Tbsp coffee, or water
    • 2 large eggs
    • 2-1/2 cups flour
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 2 (12-ounce) pkgs. milk or semisweet chocolate chips
    • 1-1/2 cups chopped walnuts
    • 1-1/2 cups chopped pecans


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 325º F. Using an electric mixer, beat together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, Frangelico and coffee liqueur until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well.

    2. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Add to butter mixture and beat just to blend. Stir in chocolate chips, walnuts and pecans.

    3. Drop dough by 1/4-cup measure onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart. Bake until cookies are golden, about 16 minutes. Transfer to racks to cool.

      Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
