List of Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1-1/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 1-1/2 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 cups dry oatmeal (instant or regular)
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, vanilla and melted chocolate.
- In another bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder and salt. Merge this into the chocolate mess. Add the oats, chocolate chips and nuts. Mix well.
- Drop heaping teaspoon-size blobs of cookie dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a preheated 350-degree (F) oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Remove, let cool 3 minutes; then remove to a rack with a spatula. (These cookies will keep for several days in an airtight container.)
Makes about 4 dozen.
