    Old-Fashioned Oatmeal Cookies

    List of Ingredients


    • 3/4 cup canola oil
    • 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1 egg
    • 1/4 cup water
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 1 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • 1/2 tsp baking soda
    • 3 cups old-fashioned oats
    • 1-1/2 cups raisins
    • 1 cup walnuts or pecans


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350° F.

    2. Beat the oil, sugar, egg, water and vanilla together until creamy. Sift the flour, salt, cinnamon and baking soda together. Beat the flour mixture into the creamed mixture. Stir in oats, raisins, and chopped nuts.

    3. Drop teaspoonfuls of the dough onto greased cookie sheets. Bake 12 to 15 minutes.

      Makes about 6 dozen.
