    Beef Burgundy

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 (2-lb.) beef round steak, cut into 3/4-inch cubes
    • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 3 Tbsp butter or margarine
    • 1 cup burgundy
    • 3/4 cup beef broth
    • 1/2 cup chopped onion
    • 1 (3-oz.) can whole mushrooms, drained
    • 3 Tbsp snipped parsley
    • 2 bay leaves
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
    • 1/8 tsp pepper
    • Hot cooked noodles


    Instructions


    1. Coat beef with mixture of flour and salt (use all of the flour). In skillet, melt butter or margarine; brown meat on all sides.

    2. Transfer meat to crockpot. Combine burgundy, beef broth, onion, mushrooms, parsley, bay leaves, garlic, and pepper. Stir into meat. Cover; cook on HIGH heat setting for 3 hours. (Meat may be kept warm another hour by turning to LOW setting.)

    3. Remove bay leaves; discard. Serve beef over hot cooked noodles. If desired, sprinkle with paprika and garnish with parsley.

      Makes 6 to 8 servings.
