    Chocolate Fondue

    From "Fix-It-and-Forget-It Big Cookbook" by Phyllis Pellman Good

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 stick (½ cup) butter, melted
    • 1½ cups sugar
    • ¼ cup whipping cream
    • 3 Tbsp creme de cocoa
    • Six (1-ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
    • .
    • -- Ideal Slow Cooker Size --
    • 2-quart


    Instructions


    1. Combine butter and sugar in the slow cooker until well mixed. Stir in whipping cream until well blended. Stir in liqueur until well blended. Stir in squares of chocolate.

    2. Cover and cook on High 30 minutes. Stir well, turn cooker to Low, and cook 2 hours.

    3. Serve warm from the cooker with angel food or pound cake cut into bite-sized pieces, marshmallows, apple slices, banana chunks and strawberries.

      Makes 2½ to 3 cups.
