    Crockpot Pasta Sauce

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 Tbsp olive oil
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • 1/2 lb. bulk Italian sausage
    • 1 lb. lean ground beef
    • 2 (28 oz.) cans Italian tomatoes, drained and chopped
    • 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
    • 1 (28 oz.) can tomato sauce
    • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    • 1 tsp basil
    • 1 tsp oregano
    • 1 tsp rosemary
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
    • 1/4 cup dry red wine
    • 4 garlic cloves, minced
    • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
    • 1 tsp instant beef bouillon
    • 2 tsp sugar
    • 1 tsp brown sugar
    • 2 Tbsp Romano cheese, finely grated


    Instructions


    1. Saute onion in oil; add sausage and beef, a little at a time, and cook over medium-high heat until browned. Drain.

    2. Add cooked sausage and beef to crockpot with all other ingredients except cheese; cover crockpot and cook on LOW 5 to 6 hours.

    3. Before serving, add cheese to sauce and stir; serve over pasta.
