    Slow-Cooker Beef Stew

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 pounds round steak, cut into 1-inch pieces
    • 1 pound carrots, cut into 1-inch pieces
    • 1 pound small red potatoes, quartered
    • 1 (8-ounce) package sliced fresh mushrooms
    • 1 red bell pepper, diced
    • 1 (14-1/2-ounce) can diced tomatoes
    • 1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
    • 3/4 cup beef broth
    • 1/3 cup red wine
    • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1-1/2 tsp salt
    • 1 tsp pepper
    • 1/2 tsp dried thyme


    Instructions


    1. Combine all ingredients in a 6-quart slow cooker and cook, covered, on LOW 7 hours and 30 minutes.

      Makes 8 servings.
