    Dessert Board

    Source of Recipe

From "Go-To Dinners" by Ina Garten

    Recipe Introduction

"No dinner, including a breakfast-for-dinner, is complete without dessert. If the meal is light, it's nice to serve something a little decadent for dessert, but if the dinner is rich and filling, I prefer to make something fruity and light. I don't want my guests going home feeling like they never want to eat again! But then there is the easiest dessert of all to serve—a dessert board. On a wooden board, I arrange a really colorful assortment of pastries and cakes from a local bakery plus gorgeous, big strawberries and green grapes and maybe big shards of chocolate bark to finish it off. That way, everyone has something they love for dessert and my guests can choose whether they want to eat something light or something rich—or maybe both! Here are suggestions for what to assemble but be creative; as long as the shapes and colors are different from each other they will make a beautiful dessert board."
