    Quick Chocolate Mousse

    List of Ingredients


    • 5 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
    • 1¼ cups whipping cream


    Instructions


    1. Combine chocolate and whipping cream in a heavy saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate melts and mixture is smooth. Remove from heat, and cool completely. Cover and chill at least 8 hours.

    2. Just before serving, beat chocolate mixture at medium-high speed with an electric mixer thickens to desired consistency. Spoon into individual dessert dishes.

      Makes 6 servings.




    Final Comments


    You won't find another luscious two-ingredient dessert like this -- homemade, yet ultra easy. For added flavor, stir in 1 to 2 teaspoons coffee liqueur, orange liqueur, or vanilla extract into the melted chocolate mixture.
