    Sauce: Dark Chocolate Fudge Sauce

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
    • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (preferably Dutch-process)
    • 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
    • 3 Tbsp butter
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • Dash of salt


    Instructions


    1. In 1-quart or larger glass bowl or measuring cup, combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, cocoa and cream. Mix well (mixture will be very thick, but will liquefy upon heating). Add butter.

    2. Heat in microwave oven on HIGH (100% power) 1-1/2 to 2 minutes, stirring once, until well blended. Heat 1 to 1-1/2 minutes longer, or until bubbly and sugars are dissolved. Stir in vanilla and salt.

    3. Serve hot over ice cream desserts. Or cool and store in refrigerator up to 2 weeks. Reheat in microwave oven on LOW power 1 to 2 minutes, stirring twice, until of good pouring consistency.

      Makes 1-3/4 cups.
