    Sauce: Double Decadent Hot Fudge Sauce

    Adapted from "Parties! Menus for Easy Good Times"


    List of Ingredients


    • 2/3 cup sugar
    • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 1/4 cup malted milk powder
    • 3/4 cup whipping cream
    • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
    • 2 Tbsp butter or margarine
    • 1 tsp vanilla


    Instructions


    1. Combine the sugar, cocoa powder, malted milk powder, whipping cream and corn syrup in a heavy saucepan. Stir over low heat until the sugar has dissolved. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring constantly, 4 minutes.

    2. Remove from the heat and stir in the butter and vanilla.

    3. Serve the sauce warm over ice cream. The sauce can be refrigerated, then reheated gently over low heat in the top of a double boiler or in a microwave oven.

      Makes about 2 cups.
