    Sauce: Warm Cinnamon Berry Sauce

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 pints mixed berries (raspberries, blackberries or blueberries)
    • 5 Tbsp sugar
    • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
    • 1-1/2 tsp cinnamon


    Instructions


    1. Combine the berries, sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon in a saucepan. Set aside 5 minutes to let the juices of the berries start to form.

    2. Place the berries over medium heat and stir gently until the berries are heated through and have given off some of their juices, about 5 minutes. Remove the berries with a slotted spoon.

    3. Bring the liquid to a boil, and boil until slightly thickened, about 1 minute. Pour over the berries. Serve warm over vanilla or chocolate ice cream or frozen yogurt.

      Makes 8 servings.
