    Entree: Skillet BBQ Steak Tips

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/2 pounds steak tips, cut into 2-inch chunks
    • 2 Tbsp paprika
    • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
    • Salt and pepper
    • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
    • 1 onion, quartered and sliced thin
    • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
    • 3 Tbsp catsup
    • 3 Tbsp cider vinegar
    • 1 Tbsp brown sugar


    Instructions


    1. Pat steak tips dry with paper towels, and sprinkle evenly with 1 teaspoon paprika, cayenne, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in large skillet over medium-high heat until just smoking. Cook steak tips until browned all over, and cooked to desired doneness, 6 to 10 minutes. Transfer to platter and tent with foil.

    2. Add remaining oil, onion, and remaining paprika to empty skillet, and cook until onion is softened, 3 to 5 minutes. Stir in barbecue sauce, catsup, vinegar and sugar, and cook until thickened, about 3 minutes. Add steak tips and any accumulated juices to pan, and toss to coat.

      Serves 4
