    Asian: Galangal Tea

    List of Ingredients


    • 2-1/2 cups water
    • 8 to 10 thin slices fresh galangal
    • 2 tsp black tea leaves
    • Sugar, to taste
    • Milk, optional


    Instructions


    1. Bring water to boil with the galangal.

    2. Meanwhile, heat a teapot and put the tea into it. After the water has boiled for a couple of minutes, pour it in with the tea. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes.

    3. Strain into two cups and sweeten, if desired. You can add milk too, if you want.

      Makes 2 cups.
