Mexican: Chicken Torta

List of Ingredients



• 1 telera or bolillo torta roll
  
• 2 Tbsp Mexican crema * or sour cream
  
• 1/4 cup refried beans
  
• 1/2 cup cooked chicken
  
• Shredded lettuce
  
• Tomato slices
  
• Pickled jalapenos, as many as desired
  






Instructions



1. Spread the sour cream on both sides of the bread and place on a hot griddle for a few minutes until brown.
   
   
2. Spread beans on the bottom side of the bread, top with chicken and vegetables and cover with the top side of the bread.
   
   * Mexican crema, which is not as sour as sour cream, can be found in Mexican grocery stores and some ethnic food aisles of your supermarket.
