    Italian: Strawberries in Marsala with Honey-Mascarpone Cream

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 pints strawberries
    • 1/4 cup sweet Marsala
    • 3 Tbsp sugar, or to taste
    • 1/4 cup mascarpone
    • 2 Tbsp honey
    • 1/2 cup heavy cream


    Instructions


    1. Rinse the strawberries in cold water and gently pat dry. Set aside 4 perfect berries for garnish. Hull the remaining berries and slice them. In a bowl, combine the strawberries, Marsala and sugar. Let stand at room temperature 30 minutes.

    2. In a large bowl, whisk the mascarpone and honey until smooth. In a medium bowl, whip the cream until soft peaks form. Fold the cream into the mascarpone.

    3. Divide the strawberries and juices among 4 dessert bowls. Spoon on the mascarpone cream. Garnish with the reserved whole strawberries.

      Makes 4 servings.
