    Shrimp: Hot Lips Shrimp

    List of Ingredients


    • 3/4 lb. raw shrimp or prawns, shelled (about 20)
    • 3 Tbsp butter
    • 1 tsp chili powder
    • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
    • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
    • 1 tsp minced garlic
    • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 2 Tbsp dry red wine
    • 1/4 tsp salt


    Instructions


    1. Lay out the shrimp in a baking dish large enough to accommodate them in one layer.

    2. In a small saucepan, combine the butter, chili powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, wine and salt. Bring to a boil, then pour over the shrimp.

    3. Bake in a 400-degree (F) oven just until done, about 8 to 10 minutes, depending on their size. Serve this with a simple tossed salad, crusty French or Italian bread, and a bottle of your favorite wine.
