Shrimp: Hot Lips Shrimp

- 3/4 lb. raw shrimp or prawns, shelled (about 20)
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp dry red wine
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Lay out the shrimp in a baking dish large enough to accommodate them in one layer.
- In a small saucepan, combine the butter, chili powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, wine and salt. Bring to a boil, then pour over the shrimp.
- Bake in a 400-degree (F) oven just until done, about 8 to 10 minutes, depending on their size. Serve this with a simple tossed salad, crusty French or Italian bread, and a bottle of your favorite wine.
