    Scallops: Legal Sea Foods Scallop & Orange Appetizer

    List of Ingredients


    • 10 ounces scallops
    • 2 ounces grape seed oil
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
    • 1 orange, sliced into 1/2-inch slices
    • 1-1/2 ounces Grand Marnier
    • 2 ounces butter


    Instructions


    1. Heat oil in a saute pan. Season scallops with salt and pepper.

    2. Sear scallops for one minute on each side. Remove from pan.

    3. Reduce 1/2 cup fresh squeezed orange juice with orange slices to 1/4 cup. Add Grand Marnier and flame. Return scallops to pan. Cook for about 1 minute. Remove from heat and swirl with butter.

      Makes 2 servings.
