Oysters: Oregon City Oregano Oysters

List of Ingredients
- 2 jars oysters, or 16 ounces shucked oysters
- 3/4 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 large clove garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp chopped parsley
- 1/3 cup crushed saltine crackers
- 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Drain the oysters; cut in half if large, pat dry and distribute over the bottom of a lightly oiled oven dish.
- Mix together the oregano, basil, salt, pepper and garlic. Sprinkle over the top of the oysters. Combine the parsley and cracker crumbs. Distribute over the oysters.
- Dribble with lemon juice, then bake in a 400-degree (F) oven for 10 to 15 minutes. And pass the French bread, to sop up the oyster nectar.
