    Shrimp: Shrimp Alexander

    List of Ingredients


    • -- Prepared Bread Crumbs --
    • 2 tsp finely minced shallots
    • 1-1/2 Tbsp chopped fresh garlic
    • 2 tsp chopped parsley
    • 2 cups plain bread crumbs
    • Salt and pepper
    • *
    • 4 ounces butter or margarine
    • Prepared bread crumbs (see above)
    • 6 large shrimp


    Instructions


    1. For the prepared bread crumbs: In a mixing bowl, combine shallots, garlic and parsley and mix into the bread crumbs, being careful not to leave any lumps of garlic or shallots. Add salt and pepper to taste.

    2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter. (The butter should be warm, not hot.) Dip cleaned shrimp in warm butter, one at a time. Let excess butter drain off, then pat buttered shrimp into the prepared bread crumbs.

    3. Place breaded shrimp on baking sheet, vein side down, with the tails curled up. Place sheet in 500-degree (F) oven for approximately 4 to 5 minutes, until golden brown.

      Serve with white wine butter sauce or any other light cream sauce.
