    Shrimp: Shrimp with Spicy Creole Sauce

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 tsp paprika
    • 3/4 tsp pepper
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
    • 1/4 tsp dried oregano
    • 1/8 tsp onion powder
    • Pinch of cayenne pepper
    • Pinch of dried thyme
    • 28 uncooked large shrimp, shells intact
    • *
    • 7 Tbsp chilled unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
    • 3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 3 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
    • 2 tsp chopped garlic
    • *
    • Hot French bread


    Instructions


    1. Combine the first 8 ingredients in a large bowl. Add shrimp, and toss to coat.

    2. Melt 3 tablespoons of the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and garlic; saute until garlic is tender, about 2 minutes. Add shrimp; saute until opaque in center, about 3 minutes. Add remaining 4 tablespoons butter; stir until melted.

      Transfer shrimp to a large bowl. Pour sauce over shrimp. Serve with hot French bread for dipping.

      Serves 4 as an appetizer;
      2 as a main course.
