Recipe Introduction
"Immunity-boosting Potassium Broth is hydrating, alkalizing, and helps to flush your body of any retained water. Concentrated mostly in the skins and other discarded bits of many vegetables, potassium is a natural diuretic—properties that prompt waterlogged cells throughout the body to release trapped fluids. (Ahem, it makes you urinate.) And, bonus! It fills me up so I don't feel hungry."
List of Ingredients
I always add ginger and turmeric for an extra immune-boosting punch. This isn't really a recipe.
Recipe
• Save up about 2 quarts of vegetable bits and pieces.
• Add a whole onion or a carrot and celery. Clean out your vegetable bin, but remember this is not a trash can!
• Put it all in a pot and cover with water.
• Make sure to add a handful of black peppercorns and a few cloves of garlic.
• Bring to a boil and reduce the heat to simmer. Cook until it's fragrant and brothy, about 30 minutes depending on the bits.
