Long-Stemmed Strawberries with Lemon Curd Dip

    Source of Recipe

From "The Southern Living Party Cookbook"

    List of Ingredients

    • ½ (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
    • ½ cup lemon curd (such as Stonewall Kitchen)
    • ½ teaspoon lemon zest, plus more for garnish (from 1 lemon)
    • ¼ cup heavy cream
    • 24 fresh long-stemmed strawberries

    Instructions

    1. Beat the cream cheese, lemon curd, and ½ teaspoon of lemon zest with an electric mixer at medium speed until smooth, about 2 minutes.

    2. In a separate bowl, beat the heavy cream with a mixer at high speed until soft peaks form, about 2 minutes.

    3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture. Chill until ready to serve. Garnish with the lemon zest, and serve with the strawberries.

      Serves 8

    Final Comments

    • Long-stemmed strawberries are likely few and far between at your local grocery store. Find a local farmer and order strawberries cut with long stems during the spring when they are at their peak. I know it seems like a lot of sugar for a dime, but it's the subtle details that your guests will never forget.
