    Strawberries with Cocoa Cream

    List of Ingredients


    • 1-1/4 cups superfine granulated sugar
    • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
    • 2 cups whipping cream
    • 1 pint strawberries, hulled and sliced
    • 2 to 3 tsp granulated sugar (if desired)


    Instructions


    1. Whisk together the superfine sugar and the cocoa powder.

    2. Combine the cocoa mixture with the vanilla and the whipping cream, and beat until firm peaks form.

    3. To serve, spoon a portion of the berries (slightly sweetened with the 2 to 3 teaspoons of granulated sugar, if desired) on top of the cream, then spoon or pipe additional cocoa cream on top.

      Makes 4 servings.
