    Strawberries with Cream and Sugar Dip

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/3 cup whipping cream
    • 2 tsp powdered sugar
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • 3/4 cup light sour cream
    • Optional: 1 Tbsp Grand Marnier
    • 1 quart strawberries
    • 1/3 cup turbinado sugar (see note)


    Instructions


    1. With an electric beater, beat the cream with the powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.

    2. Beat in the sour cream and Grand Marnier, if using. Transfer to a small bowl.

    3. Serve the berries with bowls of the cream and sugar for dipping.

      Makes 4 servings.

      NOTE: Turbinado sugar is raw, natural cane sugar, blond in color with large crystals. Either light or dark brown sugar can be substituted in this recipe.
