Ann's Chocolate Sauce

List of Ingredients



• ¼ cup (½ stick) butter
  
• ¼ cup shaved unsweetened chocolate (about 1 square)
  
• ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa
  
• ¾ cup sugar
  
• ½ cup heavy cream
  
• â…› tsp salt
  
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
  






Instructions



1. Stir the butter and chocolate together over low heat until smooth.
   
   
2. Add the remaining ingredients (except for vanilla). Bring the mixture to a boil. Remove from the heat. Add the vanilla.
   
   
3. Serve over "the world's best" ice cream of your choice. Refrigerate and reheat what's left over in hot water.
   
   Makes 1½ cups.
