    Lavender Soap Balls

    Source of Recipe

From "Home Made" by Alexa Lett

    List of Ingredients

    • Two 4-ounce bars Castile soap
    • ⅓ cup water
    • 1 Tbsp dried lavender buds
    • 4 drops lavender oil
    • Food coloring (optional)

    Instructions

    1. Shred the two bars of Castile soap with a grater and set aside. In a small saucepan, boil the water. Remove from heat, and add the lavender buds. Cover and steep for 15 minutes.

    2. Reheat the water and lavender mixture and add the lavender oil. Slowly pour in the shredded soap. Let cool.

    3. For a particular color, add a couple drops of food coloring and blend. With your hands, knead the soap and form into balls. Let the soap balls dry on waxed paper for 2 to 5 days.

Makes approximately 5 to 6 two-inch soap balls.
