    Salted Pecans

    Source of Recipe

From "What Can I Bring?" by Elizabeth Heiskell

    Recipe Introduction

"Downright addictive, these salty Southern pecans are a snacktime favorite, but they're equally great as a salad garnish too. Did I say 'hostess gift?' Yeah, that too!"

    List of Ingredients

    â—¦ 4 ounces (½ cup) salted butter
    â—¦ 6 cups pecan halves
    â—¦ 2 teaspoons salt

    Recipe

Preheat the oven to 250° F.
Place the butter in a rimmed baking sheet, and place in the preheated oven until the butter melts, about 3 minutes.

Add the pecans to the pan, and toss with the melted butter. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of the salt; toss to coat. Sprinkle with the remaining 1 teaspoon salt; toss to coat.

Bake in the preheated oven until deeply toasted, about 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with paper towels, and cool completely, about 30 minutes. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 weeks.

    Serves 24
