    Christmas: Eggnog Caffé

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 cup brandy
    • 3 Tbsp dark rum
    • 2 Tbsp firmly packed golden brown sugar
    • 1 Tbsp instant espresso powder or instant coffee powder
    • 4 cups purchased eggnog
    • 1/2 cup chilled whipping cream
    • 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
    • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
    • Ground nutmeg


    Instructions


    1. Stir brandy, rum, brown sugar and instant espresso powder in pitcher until sugar and espresso powder dissolve.

    2. Mix in eggnog. Cover and refrigerate. (Can be prepared 1 day ahead.)

    3. Beat cream, confectioners' sugar and vanilla in small bowl until firm peaks form. Pour eggnog into stemmed glasses or punch cups. Top with dollop of cream; sprinkle with nutmeg, and serve.

      Serves 8
