    Christmas: Gingerbread Martini

    List of Ingredients


    • Gingerbread Syrup:
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 1 cup water
    • 5 whole cloves
    • 2 cinnamon sticks
    • 1 (2-inch) piece fresh ginger, cut into rounds
    • .
    • Gingerbread Martini:
    • 4 ounces Irish cream liqueur
    • 4 ounces vodka
    • 2 ounces coffee liqueur
    • 2 ounces Gingerbread Syrup
    • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream, softened
    • Ice cubes
    • Whipped cream, for serving
    • Gingerbread cookies, crushed, for serving


    Instructions


    1. For the Syrup:
      Add all of the syrup ingredients to a small saucepan over medium-high heat and bring them to a boil. Once the sugar has dissolved, reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes.

    2. Remove the syrup from the heat and let it cool before straining it. Refrigerate it in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

    3. For the Gingerbread Martini:
      Add the Irish cream liqueur, vodka, coffee liqueur, Gingerbread Syrup, and ice cream to a cocktail shaker. Add the ice and shake well before pouring the cocktail into four martini glasses. Top each with whipped cream and cookie crumbs.

      Serves 4
