    Easter: Ham Baked in Cola with Mustard Crust

    Adapted from "Great Food Without Fuss"


    List of Ingredients


    • One 5-lb. fully cooked boneless ham
    • One 2-liter bottle cola
    • 1-1/2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
    • 1/4 cup brown sugar
    • 1-1/4 cups bread crumbs


    Instructions


    1. Place ham in a deep roasting pan and pour about half of cola over and around it. Bake in a preheated 350° F oven 15 minutes per pound, basting occasionally with fresh cola.

    2. Remove ham from the pan. Cool slightly, and remove the skin. Combine 2 tablespoons of the cola with the mustard. Rub onto the top and side surfaces of the ham; rub in brown sugar. Press bread crumbs onto the surface.

    3. Place ham on a rack in a roasting pan and bake in a preheated 325° F oven 30 minutes, or until the coating is golden.

      Makes 20 servings.
