    Valentine's Day: Raspberry Velvet Mélange

    • 1 (6-ounce) package raspberry-flavored gelatin
    • 2 cups boiling water
    • ½ cup cold water
    • ½ cup chocolate syrup
    • ¾ cup whipping cream
    • .
    • ½ cup chocolate syrup
    • Fresh raspberries (optional)


    Instructions


    1. In a large bowl, combine gelatin and boiling water. Stir until gelatin is dissolved. Stir in the cold water, ½ cup chocolate syrup, and whipping cream. Stir well to combine. Cover and chill about 1 hour, or until cool, but not set.

    2. Pour mixture into a 1- to 2-quart electric ice cream maker; freeze gelatin mixture according to manufacturer's instructions. Ripen, if desired.

    3. Top each serving with remaining ½ cup chocolate syrup. Serve with fresh raspberries.

      Makes 8 servings.
