    Christmas: Reindeer Chow

    List of Ingredients


    • 5 cups honeycomb-shaped cereal or cereal squares
    • 2 cups thin pretzel sticks, broken in half
    • 1/2 cup butter
    • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
    • 1 (11.5 oz.) pkg. real milk chocolate chips
    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 1 cup red and green candy-coated milk chocolate candies

    • 2 (gallon-size) resealable plastic food bags


    Instructions


    1. Line two cookie sheets with waxed paper. Combine cereal and pretzels in a 4-quart bowl; set aside.

    2. Place butter, peanut butter and chocolate in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH for 45 seconds; stir. Continue microwaving until butter and chocolate are melted (15 to 45 seconds). Stir until smooth.

    3. Immediately pour chocolate mixture over cereal mixture in bowl; stir until well coated. Spread mixture evenly into a single layer on the lined cookie sheets. Refrigerate 20 minutes to set.

    4. Break into bite-size pieces; place half of mixture in each plastic food bag. Pour 1/2 cup candies in each bag. Store in sealed bags or airtight container in refrigerator up to 4 weeks.

      Makes 9 to 12 cups mix.
