    Thanksgiving: Benjamin Franklin's Spiced Brandy Punch

    Adapted from "Early American Taverns" by Kym Rice

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup whipping cream
    • 1 cup water
    • ½ cup brandy
    • 1/3 cup (packed) golden brown sugar
    • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
    • ½ tsp grated lemon peel
    • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
    • Ice


    Instructions


    1. Whisk all ingredients except ice in medium bowl.
      Fill 4 to 6 glasses with ice. Ladle punch over and serve.

      Makes 4 to 6 servings.
