    Thanksgiving: Horseradish-Apple Sauce

    List of Ingredients

    â—¦ 1 red apple
    â—¦ 2 cups (16 ounces) prepared cream-style horseradish
    â—¦ ½ cup sour cream
    â—¦ ½ cup mayonnaise
    â—¦ 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
    â—¦ 1 teaspoon sugar
    â—¦ Freshly ground pepper

    Recipe

    Using the large holes on a box grater-shredder, coarsely grate the apple flesh, avoiding the core.

    In a bowl, stir together the horseradish, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Add the grated apple, chives, and sugar and stir until well mixed. Season to taste with pepper.

    Cover tightly and refrigerate until ready to serve or for up to 4 days. Serve cold.

    Serves 12 to 15
