    Valentine's Day: Massage Oils for Valentine's Day

    Source of Recipe

    Intercourses: An Aphrodisiac Cookbook

    Recipe Introduction

    Mixing your own massage oil is a simple process to follow: simply mix 6 to 8 parts of essential oil for every 1/8 cup (25 ml or 1 fl oz.) of base oil. Essential oils are available at many health food and natural food stores. Vegetable oils work nicely as the base -- try jojoba, almond, avocado, olive, sunflower, or hazelnut. Mix with your signature concoction of essential oils. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dark place. Brian Skinness with The Aromatherapy Catalogue shared some of his favorite creations (to follow). Use these recipes straight as a massage oil or combine with bath water for a sensuously cleansing experience.

    * Sultry-Sweet, Aphrodisiac Oil:

    To 1 ounce jojoba, add:
    3 drops jasmine
    34 drops sandalwood

    * The Cerebral Oil of Good Feeling:

    To 1 ounce jojoba, add:
    13 drops francensence
    6 drops patchouli
    5 drops steam-distilled lime

    * Yummy Yummy Juicy Warm:

    To 1 ounce jojoba, add:
    21 drops (about 1 dropper full) sandalwood
    6 drops ylang-ylang
    5 drops steam-distilled lime

    * Relieve Anxiety, Restore Balance:

    To 1 ounce jojoba, add:
    6 drops geranium
    6 drops clary sage
    6 drops ylang-ylang

    As with everything else, these recipes work best when altered to your tastes, preferences, fantasies, and creativity.

    * These oils are non-edible, for massage only.
