    Valentine's Day: Two Raspberry Hearts

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts, softened
    • 1 (4-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
    • 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
    • 1 small jar (6 to 7 ounces) strawberry or raspberry pie preserves
    • 2 cups raspberries or small strawberries


    Instructions


    1. Heat oven to 450° F.

    2. Roll out the softened pie crusts. Cut out a paper pattern of a heart and use it to cut out four, 5-inch hearts from the pie crust dough. Place hearts on a cookie sheet and bake until golden, about 10 minutes. Remove and cool.

    3. In a small bowl, combine cream cheese and confectioners' sugar. Beat until smooth. Spread the mixture on two of the hearts. Spread half of the pie preserves over the cream cheese. Make a sandwich with the remaining two hearts. Spread remaining pie preserves over the top of each heart. Arrange raspberries or strawberries, stem side down, over the top of both hearts. Optional: sprinkle confectioners' sugar over the berries.
