Source of Recipe

Recipe Introduction
"A Memphian with deep Delta roots, Mrs. Schas created an atmosphere in her Goodlett Street house that is fondly recalled by her children's legions of friends (including Charlotte!). Everything that came from the Schas kitchen was delicious. This chocolate sauce makes ice cream an elegant dessert—any dinner can become a holiday dinner."
List of Ingredients
â—¦ 1 stick butter
â—¦ 8 tablespoons sugar
â—¦ 8 tablespoons Droste Dutch cocoa (or some good, dark cocoa)
â—¦ 16 ounces Hershey's syrup
Recipe
Heat the butter, sugar, and cocoa until dissolved. Add the Hershey's syrup. Bring to a low simmer and continue to barely simmer for about 5 minutes.
The sauce thickens when put over ice cream. The longer you heat it the more it thickens, so you can try different lengths of cooking time. For adding festivity: a dash of brandy at the last minute.
