Orange Sherbet

List of Ingredients
- 1 quart orange juice, mango-orange-peach juice, or similar
- Scant 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup half-and-half
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, cook 1 cup of the orange juice and the sugar until the sugar crystals dissolve.
- Set mixture aside to cool, then whisk in the remaining ingredients.
- Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker, and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions. Put the finished sherbet in a storage container and freeze until firm.
Makes 6 cups,
12 servings.
