    Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream II

    From "The Gourmet Cookbook"

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 pint (12 ounces) strawberries, hulled and coarsely chopped
    • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
    • 3/4 cup sugar
    • 1 cup whole milk
    • 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
    • 1/8 tsp salt
    • 1/2 cup heavy cream


    Instructions


    1. Combine strawberries, cream cheese, sugar, milk, lemon juice, and salt in a blender and purée just until smooth. Transfer to a bowl and stir in cream. Chill completely.

    2. Freeze mixture in ice cream maker. Transfer to an airtight container and put in freezer to harden.

      Makes about 1 quart.
