Clara Bliss's Caramel Corn

List of Ingredients
- Popped corn, enough to fill two 9- x 13-inch pans
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 sticks margarine
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp baking soda
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°F. Grease two 9- x 13-inch pans and set aside.
- Put the popped corn in a big bowl. Combine the sugar, margarine, corn syrup and salt in a saucepan, bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally. Remove from heat, add soda and vanilla; then stir. Pour over popped corn and stir to coat.
- Divide the coated popped corn into the two pans. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
Makes about 8 servings.
